Night out with Stacie

February 11, 2011 by Regina Chow 5 Comments
I got to know Stacie a couple of years back when we were working in the same company and we hit it off almost immediately. We arranged to meet up recently for drinks, followed by dinner at Crystal Jade Korean Ginseng Chicken.

We haven’t met in a long time but like good old friends, we just picked up from where we left off. It was quite amazing because our conversation just flowed for hours on end while the food and drinks kept coming.

Time passed so quickly that within the blink of an eye, it was time for us to head back as all the shops were closed!

And finally, here’s my outfit for the day. A simple white eyelet dress with a light denim jacket.

Have a pleasant weekend ahead!

Graze@Rochester Park

July 12, 2010 by Regina Chow No Comments
I know many of you must be wondering..is this yet another entry on breakfast? πŸ˜› Erm, yes, unfortunately. As I mentioned, I was and am still going through a breakfast phase!
My second visit to Graze took place just before I left for Europe. Karen, Bernice, baby Arielle and I decided to meet at Graze for brunch on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I still remember Karen told her friend that we were going to Graze at Rochester Park and how bizarre that actually sounded. The thought of a herd of cows (i.e. all of us) going to graze at the park still cracks me up. Hahaha!!

I like the restaurant’s interior design. The eclectic mix of mismatched furniture, dark walls and chrome accessories creates a bold picture of elegance without compromising on functionality.

I had the Eggs Florentine, which happened to be one of the better ones that I’ve tried. The most important ingredient for eggs benedict (to me at least) is the hollandaise sauce. Here, the hollandaise sauce is buttery and flavourful with just a tinge of sweetness. I personally dislike the eggs benedict at Riders because the hollandaise sauce is just way too sweet!

Karen had the waffles, topped with ice-cream and a generous serving of strawberries. πŸ™‚ Silly me forgot to take a photo of Bernice’s breakfast. She had bacon hash, which is essentially potatoes with fried eggs. There was a dead housefly on her plate when the dish first arrived, but thank goodness we got the dish promptly replaced.

Finally, here’s a parting shot of us with baby Arielle, who just woke up from her nap. πŸ˜‰

Picnic at Botanic Gardens

April 16, 2010 by Regina Chow No Comments
Grace invited me to a picnic that she organized at the Botanic Gardens early last month. As it was a Sunday and there was a concert performance going on (can’t remember what now), the field at the Botanic Gardens was packed with families having picnics too!
We had fun chatting (albeit under the scorching sun!) and munching on the sumptuous food in between sips of juice and choya! Grace single-handedly prepared a healthy spread of fresh vegetable sticks (I love celery!!), crackers with various types of cheese and fruits.

JW looked like he was dreaming halfway through the picnic. I think he was about to get heat stroke cos I captured a hilarious shot of him looking stunned and helpless. HAHA!
But well, being the good wife that I am, I shall not embarrass him over the internet, so here’s a normal shot of him against the backdrop of other fellow picnickers.

Couple shot – my face was starting to get red by then.

Parting shot with my dear friend, Grace. She has found a new job in a much better environment and I’m so happy for her!

Last but not least, here’s what I wore that day. I love this gorgeous summery romper with a ribbon in front. It’s made of very soft comfy cotton, perfect for picnics in the sweltering heat!

If you like this, there’s one last piece (brand new!) available for sale at Shopping Queen’s Haven !

Zouk

August 30, 2009 by Regina Chow No Comments
It’s been a while since I last went to a club as my energy levels have been pretty low lately, thanks to work. These pics are pretty dated as they were taken on the same day as Jo’s wedding! JW & I decided to pop by Zouk to meet my friends after the wedding cos I have not seen them in ages.

As Singapore had just confirmed the first few cases of H1N1 then, there was hardly anyone in the club, much less on the dance floor. Sure doesn’t look like it from the photos though. πŸ˜‰
