Styling Pantone Colours with People by People

August 1, 2016 by Regina Chow 1 Comment
Rose quartz is officially my favourite pantone colour and while my wardrobe is primarily made up of monochrome colours, I couldn’t resist injecting a pop of pink to welcome summer.  Today, I’ll show you two ways to style two rose quartz accessories, namely the Mini Martini bag and mirrored sunnies from popular Hong Kong designer label, People by People.

Launched in 2014, People by People was born out of an “Asian Dream” to create an Asian fashion accessory brand. It initially started off with sunglasses but they have since expanded their range of products to offer leather bags and accessories too. If you are a fan of Hong Kong drama series and movies (like me!), you may have already spotted many Hong Kong celebrities such as Louis Khoo, Myolie Wu, Linda Chung and Grace Chan wearing People by People’s range of sunglasses.

Colour Blocking with Pantone Colours

For those of you who are feeling adventurous, try colour-blocking with periwinkle, another popular Pantone shade. This casual minimalistic look was created with both comfort and style in mind. To make the colours stand out, stick to pieces with clean lines and sleek silhouettes.I love the Mini Martini bag in rose quartz. Made from quality cow leather, the workmanship is exquisite. You can also customize your bag with interchangeable letters and numbers in matching gold hardware depending on your mood every day. I call this my travel bag as I’ll change the letters on the go whenever I head to a different city. I’m currently in Nanjing again, which explains why the letters @NKG are on display at the moment.

White-on-white with a dash of Pantone Colours

An all-white palette provides a blank canvas to experiment with colours and textures, and adding a dash of rose quartz to a white-on-white ensemble is bound to turn heads in the most effortless way possible. Don’t you agree that the rose quartz bag and sunglasses add a touch of interest to this outfit?

Designed with Asian facial proportions in mind, People by People’s sunglasses sit comfortably on your nose bridge. In fact, this rose quartz pair with cool reflective lenses fits me to a T without any adjustments required. I’m sure you know how annoying it is when the frames slide off your nose and touch your cheeks, especially when you’re feeling hot and sticky in our humid weather.  Their sunglasses also come with polarized lenses to reduce the harmful effects of UV light and increase visual clarity.

I usually have to get my shades adjusted at the optical shop to fit my lower nose bridge and small face, which is why I was utterly impressed by this brand. With People by People, you’ll never have to worry about ill-fitting shades again. Fashion forward, functional and versatile, their sunglasses are just what I need to complete my wardrobe.
And you know what else is great about these reflective sunnies? You will always look on point, even without makeup. Plus, you can stare openly at passersby without getting caught! I had my share of fun people-watching at Nanjing’s popular Confucius Temple shopping district. 😉
